The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ghana, Prof. Nana Aba Appiah Amfo, together with a delegation from the university, paid a courtesy call on the Managing Director (MD) of the Bank, Mr. Farihan Alhassan on Thursday, February 13, 2025.
The visit was aimed at congratulating Mr. Alhassan on his appointment and exploring areas of collaboration between the University of Ghana and GCB Bank. Discussions centered on strengthening the existing partnership between the two institutions, particularly in the areas of education financing, student support initiatives and research collaborations.
Welcoming the delegation, MD expressed gratitude for the visit and reiterated GCB Bank’s commitment to supporting the education sector. He emphasized the Bank’s long-standing relationship with the University and pledged to support the university’s growth and sustainability efforts.
Prof. Amfo congratulated the MD and commended GCB Bank for its continuous support to the university, and highlighted the importance of a stronger partnership between academia and the financial sector in driving national development.
The courtesy visit concluded with both institutions reaffirming their commitment to working together towards mutual growth and national development.
